Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Draftkiln, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. The Service
Draftkiln is a book production pipeline that processes manuscripts through editorial, formatting, and metadata phases. The service is provided "as is" and may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time.
3. Your Content
You retain full ownership of all manuscripts, text, images, and other materials you upload to Draftkiln. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.
By uploading content, you grant Draftkiln a limited licence to process, store, and deliver your files as necessary to provide the service. This licence terminates when you delete your project or account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits or access controls
- Interfere with the operation of the service
5. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
6. Subscriptions and Billing
Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You can manage your subscription from the Account page. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact support.
7. Limitation of Liability
Draftkiln is a production tool, not a publishing guarantee. We are not liable for the commercial performance of books produced using the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the service in the preceding 12 months.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination, your project data will be permanently deleted.
9. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of the operator's jurisdiction.
